I came across an interesting website a few months ago. It had an article called “Karmic Badges”. The article described how birthmarks and moles can be signs from a past life about things that happened to you and you carry them forward with you into this life. Since I have a huge birthmark on my neck, I asked my spirit guide, Dinahh, whether it has any significance, and whether it may be from one of my past lives.
Not long after that, I had an incredible vision with Dinahh’s help. Like other visions I’ve had, this one, too, came to me in that twilight area just before drifting off to sleep, when my mind is turned off and I’m in the silence.
I’ve learned that a vision is different from a dream. In a dream, you just are wherever you are, with whomever you’re with, and wherever it is that you are in your dream. There’s always an ethereal quality to a dream. It’s different with a vision. First, the blackness in the twilight area changes. The edges begin to sharpen, while a swirling light blue fog fills the area behind your eyelids. Then as this blue fog dissipates, I can clearly and vividly see. Also in a vision, I can hear sounds, smell scents, and also feel pain.
In this vision, I could see a woman with long black hair on a reddish-brown horse. They were galloping full-speed down a dusty dirt road through a forest with trees on either side. Her long white dress was billowed by the wind and stretched out behind her, as was her long black hair. Suddenly, something ran out into the road directly in front of the horse and he reared up and cried out in terror.
When the woman was thrown to the ground, I instantly knew the woman. It was me. This was more than a scene in a dream — this was a vivid memory and I was reliving everything. I knew with certainty what was about to happen and I steeled myself for the wolf’s attack. When it came, I felt the horrific pain as he tore open my throat. I also knew before I looked down, that my white dress would be drenched in my own blood.
When the twilight dark of pre-sleep silence returned, my spirit guide, Dinahh, was there as he most often appears to me, as a glowing orb. He told me the large brown birthmark I wore on my neck since birth was a mark I brought with me from the past life I had just witnessed. He explained that along with our becoming aware, we have the ability to remember the beings we truly are, through however many past lives we’ve lived.
“Good, Zora, you have remembered. This is good. I will leave you now.”
I again thanked Dinahh and, as he left, I sat up, unable to go back to sleep because of the powerful memory I had relived. Then I remembered something else. Dinahh had called me Zora.
