Conversational hypnosis can take many forms. Conversational Hypnosis Suggestions can be direct, Indirect, overt, or covert just to name a few. The CPI – S.T.E.A.L.T.H. Methodology Utilizes Both Direct and Indirect forms of conversational hypnosis suggestions.
In this article we will focus on the merits of direct conversational hypnotic languaging Vs. the use of commonly taught and often ineffective indirect conversational hypnosis suggestions that many on-line hypnosis vendors are selling.
Truth be told, most Conversational Hypnosis Manuals utilize Indirect Suggestion and indirect suggestion can be highly effective under the right circumstances. Sadly those circumstances do not arise nearly as much as marketers would have you believe. In addition, this style of conversational hypnotic languaging also takes much longer to learn and use effectively with any real skill and power.
Interestingly the least user-friendly and most challenging techniques to use effectively also seem to be the ones people find most attractive. Maybe human beings just like to work harder than they have to.
In fact relying on much of what is taught today in the field of conversational hypnosis is more likely to get you thrown out of a business meeting or social setting,than get you what you wanted. I’m not kidding.
Because Indirect Conversational Hypnosis Suggestions are often perceived as far too vague or confusing.
Conspicuously vague and confusing statements, while highly useful in an OVERT clinical conversational hypnosis application, only engender confusion, impatience and (in many cases) a perception within your subject that you really don’t know what you are talking about.
This often leads to resistance and break down of rapport more often then it leads to a sale or a date.
Not to mentioned that most business people (at least the very successful ones) have some degree of sales, persuasion and in many cases actual NLP Training. The upshot of course means that if your not as adept at what you are doing as they are, which in many cases is true –
You will get caught, and you will be perceived as trying to trick, coerce or manipulate them. The bottom line is…
You Won’t Get What You Want.
This does not only hold true in a business environment, even in a more “social” setting, the advent of such books as “The Game” by Neil Strauss and Television Shows like “The Pick-Up Artist” have opened the eyes of millions in the dating scene to the use of indirect conversational hypnosis techniques for scoring with women.
In fact,many aspiring pick up artists who rely on “standardized and scripted” conversational hypnosis patterns that make use of indirect suggestion are often stunned, shocked and embarrassed to find the target of their techniques exposing them, often publicly, because they have heard the techniques before and recognize them for what they are. This kind of thing rarely and in fact almost never happens when you utilize S.T.E.A.L.T.H. protocols.
Direct conversational hypnosis methods utilizing what I like to call a S.T.E.A.L.T.H. methodology differ significantly in that they give the illusion of “specificity” while automatically inducing trance, and its actually much easier to learn and use right away without sounding weird, creepy or confusing.
In fact, the S.T.E.A.L.T.H. Protocols are so trance inducing, conversational, and covert that they often fly completely under the radar of even the most astute hypnotists, and NLPer’s, hence the name — S.T.E.A.L.T.H. which, by the way actually does stand for something –
S – Strategic-Suggestion
E – Easily
L – Linguistically
T – Triggered
H – Hypnosis
and it works exactly like any form of Stealth technology is supposed to. It completely flies under the radar of even the most adept and aware people. In fact it even works if they know you are doing it. Because they can’t find it and they can’t stop it.
How do I know that?
We tested it.
We went out field-tested the protocols on countless trained hypnotists, sales people and NLP practitioners.
By and large, the moment we launched into ‘standard” conversational hypnosis tactics commonly taught in many on-line hypnosis courses such as “embedded commands,” “thought binds”, or even basic rapport-getting skills such as pacing and leading or value elicitation — Instantly the flags went up, and the trained folk started challenging our suggestions and commands, in other words…
We Got Caught.

When you are using rapport skills and the person you are seeking to influence knows what you are doing, you will start to lose rapport very quickly unless you change to something else.
Now the good news is that there are some outstanding and darn near irresistible and undetectable rapport accelerators that you can use to make the person do what you want. There are even slight tweaks that you can do to the established and commonly taught rapport skills that make them completely covert and impossible to detect.
However the more we used the direct conversational hypnosis. patterns the more powerfully they began to acquiesce, agree with us and even drop deeper into the ‘exact’ hypnotic state we were going for. People often ask “why” are the S.T.E.A.L.T.H. Techniques so effective?
It’s because the patterns rely on categories of language that are a direct mirror image of the structure of human thoughts. Because of this fact, the patterns sound extremely natural because they are, in many cases, a naturally occurring element in our day to day speech.
The power of these direct conversational hypnosis patterns is in knowing exactly what type of thought structure and process each pattern forces the listeners mind to undergo, then strategically using them to cause your subjects thoughts to instantly begin to quickly conform to exactly what you want them to experience. Now.
And isn’t that what good covert hypnotic mind control is supposed to do?
Seriously, think about this for a minute. I mean if you were going to hypnotize somebody in a way that seemed completely natural and perfectly undetectable. You would most likely want to approximate and match their natural view of the world as closely as possible first would you not?
After all,isn’t the basic tenet of rapport and nlp-style technique teach you to match a persons internal map of the world first?
If you didn’t know that before, the answer is yes. You must always meet someone on the level they are at and then lead them where you want them to go. Direct conversational hypnotic suggestion is simply a faster and easier way to do that.
Now the simple truth is… I have been hammering you with S.T.E.A.L.T.H. direct conversational hypnosis patterns throughout the majority of this post. Why? Because it doesn’t matter what modality you are using. The S.T.E.A.L.T.H. patterns work in any medium that involves the use of language. Period.
Now let me ask you this. Is there any form of human communication that does NOT utilize language in some form. Very few if any, and in my opinion you would be hard-pressed to find one where S.T.E.A.L.T.H. or CPI methods did not apply.
